Questions
Choosing a Byrna launcher
Is Maverick Tactical an authorized Byrna dealer?
Yes. Maverick Tactical is an authorized Byrna dealer. We list Byrna launchers and kits, projectiles, CO2, magazines, holsters, optics, Ballistipac armor and training gear. Call 612.808.9838 for current availability and help choosing a setup.
Which Byrna launcher should I choose?
Start with how you will use it. The Byrna CL and CL-XL are the compact carry launchers. The SD and LE are the proven mid-size launchers. The Mission 4 and TCR are larger, higher-capacity launchers for home and property defense, and the MLR is Byrna's less-lethal carbine. Tell us your use and we will recommend a kit.
What comes in a Byrna kit?
Kit contents differ by model. Each kit listing shows what is included, such as magazines, CO2, projectiles and a case. Check the listing for your model, or call us before you order.
Is Byrna legal in my state?
Byrna states that the Byrna is legal in all 50 states, however, certain states place restrictions on the pepper and tear gas ammo. In addition, certain municipalities place restrictions on CO2 powered weapons such as the Byrna. The minimum age to purchase a Byrna is 18 years old. State, county and local regulations may vary, so check the law in your own area before you buy, and call 612.808.9838 if you are not sure.
Are there shipping restrictions?
Per Byrna, Byrna Max products do not ship to New York, Wisconsin, Michigan or California, and Byrna Pepper Projectiles do not ship to California or New York. California only receives the TCR, the Mission 4 and Byrna Kinetic launchers and kits, and no products ship to San Francisco. Each customer is responsible for checking the law in their own area before purchasing. Call 612.808.9838 with questions.
What ammunition works with my launcher?
Projectiles are caliber specific. CL and CL-XL launchers use .61 caliber projectiles. SD, LE, Mission 4, TCR and MLR launchers use .68 caliber projectiles. Match the caliber on the listing to your launcher before you order.
What powers a Byrna launcher?
Most Byrna launchers use CO2, in 12 gram cartridges or 88 gram cylinders depending on the model, and the MLR uses compressed air. See the CO2 listings and the launcher listing for the right size.
Are Byrna products in stock?
Stock changes often and every listing shows what we have on hand. Call 612.808.9838 to confirm availability before you commit to a date.
Can I get help from a person?
