SKY-SHOT™ 5.56 / .223 Dual-Purpose Munition

SKY-SHOT™ is a dual-purpose cartridge for trained military and agency users, effective against both aerial drone threats and personnel. It is backward compatible with existing 5.56mm and .223 weapon systems: load and fire.

Each round carries one primary projectile plus four bonus shots. Rifling induces spin so each of the five segments flies spin-stabilized, giving a predictable spread pattern and a higher hit probability than ball ammunition. The round is optimized for a ~16 in pattern at 50 yards.

Engagement guidance: recommended effective range up to ~600 ft / 200 yd / 183 m. For anti-drone engagements, Maverick Tactical recommends 60 yards or closer for the highest hit probability. The shooter must account for target identification and what lies beyond the target prior to deployment.
